My Colorful Life .・゜゜・゜・. ..

Hello, I'm Miranda or Mandy! I'm currently a student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, pursuing a degree in Information Sciences with a concentration in HCI & UX, and a minor in art + design.

Currently I am a UX Design Intern at AbbVie working primarily on the Unity team, focusing on creating a intuitive and accessible design system across all company products. I am also a product designer at Hack4Impact, designing digital solutions for non profits.

I am also a big fan of thrifting, fun sneakers, and soy milk lattes.

My journey in design has been a fascinating one. With a natural inclination towards creativity, I always knew I wanted to pursue a career in a creative field. Growing up in the Bay Area has exposed me to the world of technology. I later was introduced to UI/UX and product design, and there is where I found my role in the tech space!

My design philosophy is driven by my genuine love of working with people, designing with the user in mind. I believe that diverse perspectives enrich the creative journey, sparking new ideas and refining existing ones. Human centered design is very empathetic, allowing me to step into the shoes of the individuals who will ultimately interact with the design.

My authentic love of working with people is what has pushed me to continue my design journey, testing my limits with new solutions and technology. Creating digital solutions to impact others. I believe that I can make a change through design, no matter how big or small.

Outside of design, I have a couple hobbies.

I enjoy sketching, journaling, fashion, reading, photography, and experimenting with new hair colors. Count how many hair colors I have had on this page 😊

Having grown up in the Bay Area and Taiwan, I developed a love for travel. Experiencing diverse cultures during my formative years has deepened my appreciation for connecting with people on a profound level. I just love people!

Thank you for stopping by! Hope you were inspired 🖤
